Personal Assistant Vacancies

The following vacancies are available for application.
  1. DPSS623 - Personal Assistant - 9 hours per week - Port Talbot (Port Talbot)

    I am a lady in my 60’s living in the Port Talbot area. I have experienced a stroke, which has affected my mobility but not my speech. I also experience right sided weakness in my arm. I am a very chatty, sociable and lovely lady that is looking for a PA to support me with attending my physiotherapy appointment in Glynneath on a Tuesday and socialising in the community on a Friday. I enjoy listening to music, going out, shopping, chatting, going to the beach, countryside and parks.

    9 hours per week to be worked as:

    14:00 to 18:00 on a Tuesday and

    12:00 to 17:00 on a Friday.

  2. DPSS591 - Personal Assistant - 6 hours per week - Sandfields (Port Talbot)

    I am a lady in my early 30’s, living in the Sandfields area with my family and 4 dogs. I enjoy arts & crafts, reading and being out in nature. I like visiting places such as the beach, local nature areas and the library. I have Autism and can become overwhelmed and anxious in busy places. I have a weakness in my back and legs, and use a walking stick and electric wheelchair. I would like a PA to support me to attend local groups that I am interested in.

    6 hours per week to be used as 2 x 3 hour blocks.

    Days are flexible. Start time will be around mid-day.

  3. DPSS602 - Personal Assistant - 5 hours per week - Cimla (Neath)

    A lady in her 30’s requires a PA to help enable her to access the local community. The lady also requires support at home with toileting, washing and dressing. She has a rare condition which means she is incredibly fragile and requires a PA to be very gentle with her. She loves watching films both at home and at the cinema, listening to music, chatting and socialising. She also really enjoys a game of bingo at coffee morning!

    5 hours on a Saturday. Times are flexible from 10:00am onwards. There will be the potential of increasing to 10 hours per week.

  4. DPSS537 - 2 x Personal Assistants - 6 hours per PA - Tonna (Neath)

    I am a 21 year old Autistic man living with my family in Neath.

    CAR DRIVER IS ESSENTIAL

    6 hours per PA, per week (double staffed calls)

    To be worked as 2 x 3 hour blocks from 3pm/ 3:30pm onward – days are flexible.

  5. DPSS625 - Personal Assistant - 12 hours per week - Bryncoch (Neath)

    I am a gentleman living within the neath area. I have suffered a Brain Aneurysm although very similar to a stroke. I am motivated and have a very positive outlook on life, I have a good sense of humour and enjoy a good chat and having a laugh and a joke. I have a loving supporting family who are very important to me. It is important for me to access the community and participate in groups which will help my rehabilitation after my stroke.

    12 hours per week

  6. DPSS612 - Personal Assistant - 5 hours per week - Sandfields (Port Talbot)

    I am a 9 year old boy living in the Sandfields area. I like to hold hands and I am very chatty. I have Autism, a learning disability, challenging behaviour and Hypermobility which causes me joint pain. I have Asthma but this is well controlled. I am able to go to the toilet by myself, but the PA will need to be very responsive when I say I need to go, as I may not give much warning.

    3 hours usually on a Saturday morning, with the possibility of a Saturday or Sunday afternoon instead.

  7. DPSS609 - Personal Assistant - 4 hours per week - Skewen (Neath)

    I am very lively, bubbly, fun and energetic 6 year old boy living in Skewen. I have Autism and Epilepsy. I can experience Challenging Behaviour which includes running off, as I have no sense of danger. The PA will need to undergo Physical Restraint training, which will be provided.

    4 hours during term time to be worked on a Sat/ Sun after 10am

    8 hours during school holidays – days and times flexible

  8. DPSS626 - Personal Assistant - 7 hours per week - Pontardawe (Pontardawe)

    I am an amazing 9-year-old boy who has Cerebral palsy and other complex health needs, including physical, cognitive and communication.  I need lots of support with personal care, but I don’t let this hold me back or define who I am.  I attend a local school and after school I need additional support to help me to enjoy social and leisure activities and to help with my therapy programmes.

    7 hours per week 2 sessions after school, flexibility essential.

  9. DPSS624 - Personal Assistant - 7 hours per week - Cymmer (Port Talbot)

    I am a man in my mid 20’s living in the Cymmer area of Port Talbot with my family. I enjoy boxing with my special needs group. I also enjoy indoor bowls, music, dancing and eating out for meals. I love watching international rugby matches as well as the Ospreys. I enjoy listening to Christian music. I like swimming after church on Sundays.

    up to 7 hours per week 

    Tuesday - 4:40pm to 6.20pm 

    Thursday - 4.40pm to 6.10pm 

    Other hours to be discussed during interview. 

  10. DPSS559 - Personal Assistant - 5 hours - Port Talbot (Port Talbot)

    I am a 61 year old male living in the central Port Talbot area.  I enjoy watching quizzes on TV and have previously applied to be on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”.  I enjoy getting out and about in the community and I enjoy a good chat.  I love watching lots of different types of sport such as rugby, boxing and football and I am a massive Liverpool fan.  I am looking for a Personal Assistant to help me at home and ensure my safety, as I tend to lose my balance and can fall over.

    5 hours per week – 2.5 hours on a Wed and Fri.

    Flexibility can be discussed.
